Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common tax and business questions from our experts
QHow much does tax resolution cost?
Our fees depend on your specific situation. We offer free consultations to evaluate your case and provide transparent pricing. Many clients save far more in penalties and interest than they pay in professional fees. We also offer payment plans to make our services accessible.
QHow long does it take to resolve IRS debt?
Timeline varies by case complexity. Simple payment plans can be set up in 2-4 weeks, while offers in compromise typically take 6-12 months. Emergency situations like wage garnishments can often be stopped within 24-48 hours.
QCan you help with California state tax issues?
Absolutely! We specialize in both IRS and California tax problems, including FTB debt, suspended LLC reinstatements, and state compliance issues. California has unique requirements that our Newport Beach team knows inside and out.
QWhat if I haven't filed taxes in several years?
This is more common than you think. We help clients catch up on unfiled returns regularly. The key is acting quickly to minimize penalties and interest. We can often negotiate penalty reductions and set up manageable payment plans.
QDo you handle business and personal taxes?
Yes, we provide comprehensive services for both business and personal tax situations. This includes bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, audit defense, and resolution services for businesses of all sizes.
QWhat makes Valoria different from other tax firms?
We focus exclusively on tax resolution and business compliance with a unique integrated approach. Our team includes CPAs, enrolled agents, and tax professionals with deep expertise in California tax law. We've resolved over $8.2M in tax debt with a 94% success rate. Unlike traditional firms, we combine strategic consulting with licensed expert support under one roof, offering document prep, HR compliance, and tax help as an integrated service—making it easier for busy business owners and individuals to stay compliant and stress-free.
QIs Valoria Consulting a law firm or CPA firm?
No. Valoria Consulting is a private consulting firm. We are not a law firm or CPA firm. However, we partner with licensed attorneys, CPAs, and Enrolled Agents who provide expert support to our clients through separate engagements when needed.
QAre you affiliated with the IRS or any state tax agency?
No. Valoria Consulting is not affiliated with the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, or any other federal or state tax agency. We are a private company that helps clients resolve tax and HR matters independently.
QDo you provide legal representation in court?
No. We do not represent clients in court. Legal consultations are provided by licensed attorneys contracted independently with Valoria Consulting. If your case requires court representation, we will refer you to a qualified attorney.
QWho will I be speaking with during my consultation?
All consultations are handled by vetted, licensed professionals—such as CPAs, Enrolled Agents, or attorneys—depending on the nature of your issue. Our role is to coordinate and connect you with the appropriate expert.
QCan you guarantee that my taxes will be reduced or resolved?
No firm can guarantee specific tax outcomes. Your results will depend on a variety of factors including the nature of your debt, your financial situation, the documentation you provide, and IRS/state agency discretion. We do, however, work with experienced professionals who specialize in achieving the best possible outcomes.
QWhat services do you offer?
Valoria Consulting provides end-to-end support for individuals and businesses navigating compliance, growth, and tax issues. Our services include tax resolution and compliance (IRS and state), tax planning and strategy, bookkeeping and payroll processing, LLC formations and business entity setup, HR consulting and employee compliance, and legal document preparation (non-representative, limited scope).
QWill I be working directly with the IRS?
In many cases, no—you'll work with our team or a licensed professional acting on your behalf. If authorized, our tax professionals may contact the IRS or state agencies directly to obtain records or resolve your case.
QIs there a fee for the initial consultation?
It depends on the service. General consultations related to bookkeeping or HR may be complimentary. However, attorney consultations for tax resolution matters are $250. This fee covers a 1-on-1 session with a licensed attorney who will review your situation and advise you on potential next steps. If you move forward with our services, this fee may be credited toward your project.
QAre your services available in every state?
Not at this time. We currently serve clients in select states. Please contact us to confirm service availability in your area.
